RECENT NEWS:

Vince has recently completed the music for the rebranding of KNOWLEDGE TV Network in BC. This popular TV station specializes in documentaries, special interest and educational programming funded by the public and gov't grants. All station IDs, stings and network incidental music was composed and recorded by Vince at Mai-Music studios in the fall of 2009.

As a composer, Vince's film scores have been featured on TV networks - PBS, Fox Network, WTN and the CBC in North America. In "Diary of An Alien", Vince's " probing electronic score" received the West Coast Music Award for Best Original Score for Film or Television in 2001. His original piece "Why Didn't You Tell Me" from the album "For All We Know". has been featured in films by directors Carl Bessai and Anne Wheeler. Vince's film score for the movie "Lola" by director Carl Bessai was featured at The Sundance Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, and Berlin International Film Festival. His latest collaboration with director Bessai is a feature titled "EMILE" starring Sir Ian McKellan, which was nominated Best Musical Score in a Feature Length Drama by the LEO AWARDS 2004.

Also in 2004, Vince was selected as the winner of the CBC's The Early Edition invite-only composer contest for a new music theme. The theme, named "Coast Lantern", can be heard every weekday on CBC's Radio One The Early Edition - AM690 in Vancouver, BC. An MP3 sample is included on the link below.

2005 saw Vince working as co-composer with Peter Allen on "FORCE OF IMPACT", a Shavick Entertainment and Insight Film produced sci-fi feature.

Vince also worked as composer for producer/director Eunhee Cha on the short film "BLUEBIRD OF HAPPINESS" which won 1st prize in the 2005 Mighty Asian Moviemaking Marathon sponsored by the Vancouver Asian Film Festival and CityTV. Other credits with Eunhee Cha include "JOURNEY FOR LOTUS" 2001 and NFB's 2003 "A TRIBE OF ONE" for the CBC.

2007-2008 have been busy years with scoring work done on various TV movies-of-the-week as well as a 2008 Leo nomination for Best Music in a Documentary titled "17 Short Films About Breasts" by Oystercatcher FIlms. During this period, Vince was also teaching at the University of British Columbia a FILM MUSIC COMPOSITION course for 4th year and Masters Music students.

COMMERCIAL COMPOSER

For nearly 2 decades, Vince has been actively writing and producing commercial spots, TV themes and stings for clients including - Electronic Arts, McDonalds, KVOS TV, WIC TV, Global TV, Honda, Mattel, Ford, A&B Sound, ITV, Telus, and many others.

See Vince in the RAMPAGE Entertainment/PARK Entertainment 2006 release of the feature film "BOB THE BUTLER" starring Brooke Shields and Tom Green for the Disney Channel. Vince plays himself and performs a version of Albinoni's ADAGIO to draw the two principals together in this romantic comedy.
